Security Systems Maintenance London

A security system that has not been maintained is a liability. Cameras go out of focus. Alarm contacts get dirty and trigger false activations. Backup batteries degrade. Recording storage fills up and stops recording without anyone noticing. We provide security system maintenance across London for businesses, hotels, and other commercial sites. Our contracts cover CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and wireless networks. Whether we installed your system or not, we can take it on for maintenance. Our engineers are directly employed, and familiar with the most common systems in use across the UK.

What Security System Maintenance Covers

A maintenance visit for a CCTV system includes checking every camera is online and recording correctly, cleaning camera housings, verifying focus and field of view, checking storage capacity and recording schedules, testing remote access, and inspecting cable runs and connections for any deterioration. If something is not right, we fix it or report back with a quote if parts are needed.

For intruder alarms, a service visit covers testing every detector and contact, checking the control panel for any logged faults, testing the external siren, replacing the backup battery if it is due, and confirming the system communicates correctly with any monitoring centre. NSI guidelines require at least one service visit per year for commercial alarm systems, and we document every visit.

Access control maintenance includes testing all readers and electric locks, checking the software for any reported errors, verifying battery backup on controllers, and reviewing user records to flag any inactive credentials that should be removed. We also check door hardware such as closers and strikes, which take more wear than the electronics.

If you have a managed wireless network, maintenance covers checking access point status through the management platform, pushing available firmware updates, reviewing performance data, and visiting the site if anything requires physical attention.

How Maintenance Contracts Work

We agree a service contract that covers the systems on your site. The contract sets out how many visits per year are included, what each visit covers, and your response time for emergency callouts.

We schedule service visits in advance and confirm the date with you. Our engineer attends, carries out the checks set out in the contract, and leaves you with a written service report.

If we find a fault that needs parts or additional work, we report it to you in writing with a fixed price before doing anything. We do not carry out additional work without your approval.

Emergency callouts within your contract response time are handled by our directly employed engineers. You call us directly. There is no call centre.

Maintenance Questions

Do you maintain systems you did not install?

Yes. We can take on maintenance for CCTV, alarm, and access control systems installed by other companies. We would visit first to assess the condition of the system and agree what the contract will cover.

What is your response time for emergency callouts?

Response times depend on the contract. We offer same-day response for critical faults and next-day for non-critical issues. The exact terms are agreed when we set up the contract.

Can I have one contract covering CCTV, alarms, and access control?

Yes. A single contract covering multiple system types is simpler to manage and usually more cost-effective than separate agreements. We quote for the full scope during the initial assessment.

What happens if a system needs a repair outside of the maintenance visit?

Parts and repair work that fall outside the scope of the contract are quoted separately. We give you a written quote before doing the work. For systems covered under a maintenance contract, we prioritise callouts over non-contract work.

We provide security system maintenance across London and into Surrey, Kent, Buckinghamshire, and Middlesex. If you want to discuss a contract for your site or check whether we can take on an existing system, call 020 3302 6838 or fill in the contact form. We can usually arrange an initial assessment within the week.
